Behind The Scenes: My Onboarding Process
I started my business two years ago and took the time to refine my onboarding process. I tried a lot of things, but finally found what worked for me.
Curious about what to expect when working with me? Here's an overview of my client onboarding process:
01. Inquiry
On my website, I have two options for contacting me. The first is for people who are interested in working with me and includes a quick form to fill out so I can gather some information about the service you are interested in. The second option is to contact me directly by email, this is usually for a general inquiry.
02. The Discovery Call
Once you've answered the few questions, and if the project fits the criteria ( typically the type of project, budget, and timeline), I will contact you within 48 hours to set up a discovery call.
I like to talk with my client before starting a project to see if we are a good fit to work together and get to know each other a bit. This also allows me to gather more information about the project or answer some questions you may have.
03. Proposal
Following our discovery call, if we hit it off, it's time to send a proposal! It outlines the project goals, my process, timeline, investment, payment schedule, and some information about project expectations.
04. Agreement and Deposit
As soon as you approve the proposal, I'll send you the agreement via HelloSign and once signed, you'll receive a link for the 30% down payment via Stripe.
05. Welcome to S.B-Studio
Proposal? Check.
Agreement? Check.
Deposit? Check.
Let the project begin! Yay!
Before we get started, I'll send you the welcome guide that will walk you through the next steps and explain how to work together. I'll also add you to my Slack account, so you can chat with me more easily.
